Hair Regeneration Shouwu Shengfa
Chinese medicine uses this time-honored formula to nourish the blood and supplement the kidney, inhibit or prevent unpleasant microorganism growth, ease itching, promote healthy hair growth and prevent hair loss.
Made of extracts from prepared rehmannia, Chinese angelica (dong quai), notopterygium, Chinese quince, cnidium, common peony root, dodder, gastrodia and prepared Chinese cornbind (shou wu).

Summary of modern studies on Shouwu Shengfa Hair Regeneration™
Chinese Use: Alopecia areata, alopecia totalis, trichomadesis, scalp itch, excessive furfur, trichomadesis after illness or child delivery.
Modern studies on pharmacodynamics reveal that this product yields action of anti-alopecia – hair loss, anti aging and bactercostatic action- prevents bacterial growth.
1. Anti alopecia: Thallium is used as an agent for alopecia, which is loss of hair or baldness.
2. Effect on thymus, adrenal gland, sex gland and acidophilic leucocytes count: Experiment show that this product can strengthen ACTH’s action on adrenals (weight increased) and thymus (atrophied), while no obvious decrease of acidophilic leucocyte – beneficial bacteria is observed. ACTH: A hormone produced by the anterior lobe of the pituitary gland that stimulates the secretion of cortisone and other hormones by the adrenal cortex.
3. Anti-aging: In recent years, it has been found that the existence of Super Oxide Dismutase or SOD is closely related to the anti-aging process. When the organism in the body is getting older it loses the SOD and lowers markedly. As we age, the processing of blood lowers and we lose the ability of production of SOD. By feeding mice with Radix Polygoni multiflori, its SOD content increases after several months, indicating that it affects SOD, and is beneficial to anti-senility. 4. Bacteriostatic action: In vitro antibacterial experiments, water extract of Radix Polygoni multiflori (prepared in different ways) shows antibacterial action to different extent on staphylococcus aureus and staphylococcus albus.
Clinically, this product is used in alopecia [loss of hair] due to blood deficiency and kidney deficiency: It is reported that 117 cases were treated with this product for 15-60 days. 83 cases were cured; 18 cases improved; 16 cases non-effective, the total effective rate being 86.3%
